SmartCalendar - Calendar Legend

Overview

The calendar legend displays at the bottom of the side menu when users access the Calendar Day, Calendar Week, or Calendar Month views in SmartCalendar.

Purpose

The legend helps users quickly identify activity types or sub-types through color coding. System-defined activity types and sub-types are listed first, with user-created custom types appearing afterward.

Coloring Options

By default, activities are colored by type. Users can alternatively choose coloring by:

• Activity sub-type
• Activity participant (when viewing other users' calendars)

Customization Methods

Method 1 - From the Legend

Click the hyperlinked heading (Activity Type, Activity Sub-Type, or Activity Participants) to open the Activity Color Options dialog. Users can modify colors by clicking colored squares in the Custom Color Choices section, then click OK.

Method 2 - User Preferences

Navigate to User Preferences - Calendar Options and select appropriate settings in the "Color Activities in Calendar Views By" section.
