Advisor Payment Import - Working with Imported Transactions
Overview
This help documentation covers post-import transaction management in SmartOffice's Advisor Payment Import system. The page describes three primary tasks after importing commission transactions: reporting via Dynamic Reports, reviewing transactions for errors, and creating commission records in SmartCommissions.
Reporting
Users can generate reports using the "Advisor Commission – Payment Import" category under Dynamic Reports without requiring additional data validation.
Review & Revalidation
The process involves accessing imported transactions through Commission Utilities, identifying validation errors (such as missing Rep IDs or multiple Rep ID matches), correcting issues, and using validation tools to revalidate specific or all transactions.
Commission Record Creation
For users with SmartCommissions licenses, the workflow includes:
- Processing validated transactions
- Creating advisor transaction postings that group related transactions
- Managing postings through viewing, modification, and manual entry options
- Including postings in commission batches for statement generation
Transaction Status Tracking
The system uses status indicators including: "Validated," "Commission Generated," "Linked to Posting," "Ready to Process," "Posted," and "Processed" to track transaction progression through the workflow.
The documentation emphasizes that transactions must be validated to advisors before processing and that postings must reach "Ready to Process" status before batch inclusion.
