Overview
The Menu button displays the commands that are available to the user
on the current page.
Some commands in the Menu are available to all users, while others are
available only to users who have specific [user
rights and licenses](/help/pro/user/accounts/user/rights/content/link) assigned by the administrator.
Favorite and Recent Commands
The Menu displays up to 30 favorite commands and up to five recently
accessed commands. Other commands are hidden by default.
To display hidden commands, select Show Full
Menu at the bottom of the menu. The hidden commands appear under
the Favorites section, replacing the Recent section.
From the full menu, selecting Show Compact Menu
displays the compact menu again.
Tip: Users who prefer to always see
the full menu when they select the Menu button can go to [User
Preferences - Basic Info](/help/pro/user/preferences/-/basic/info) and clear the Enable
compact view for Menu option.
Adding Favorite Commands
To add a Menu command to the Favorites section, drag it to that section
or right-click it and select Add to Favorites.
To reorder favorites, drag them up or down.
Tip: An alternative to adding commands
to the Favorites section of the Menu is [adding
them to the Custom Button Bar](/help/pro/navigation/-/custom/button/bar).
Removing Favorite Commands
To remove a command from the Favorites section, right-click the command
and select Remove from Favorites. Another
way to remove a favorite is to drag it from the Favorites section into
the bottom portion of the menu when the full menu view is displayed.
Displaying All Commands by Default
Users who prefer to see all Menu commands by default can clear the Enable compact view for Menu option in [User Preferences - Basic
Info](/help/pro/user/preferences/-/basic/info). Clearing this option also removes the Favorites and Recent sections
from the menu.
Note: Enterprise customers have server-level
control over whether the compact menu view and its associated office
settings and user preferences are available to offices, as well as
the maximum numbers of favorite and recent commands displayed. These
parameters are controlled by the elements under the
node in the config.xml file.
