Release Notes - Exchange Sync

November 2016

  • Calendar Sync: An option to sync appointment reminders was added.
  • Contact Sync: An option to sync contact birthdays was added.
  • Contact Sync: An option to sync business contacts was added.
  • Contact Sync: An option to sync advisor and agency contacts was added. To be included in the sync process, advisors and agencies must belong to the same SmartOffice set specified in the Contact Sync section of the Exchange Sync options page. In Exchange, synchronized advisors and agencies are stored in a folder named SmartOffice Advisors FC.
  • Contact Sync: The Remarks field on the contact Personal content link in SmartOffice is now synchronized to the contact Notes field in Exchange. This occurs only when the Exchange contact's Notes field is blank; any existing notes are not overwritten.
  • E-mail Posting: Users can now add e-mail posting commands to the body of an outgoing e-mail message to tell Exchange Sync where to post the message in SmartOffice. The commands are as follows:

- \[postto:emailaddress\]

This command posts the message to the SmartOffice contact associated with the specified e-mail address. Example: \[postto:contact@domain.com\]

- \[postto:businessname\]

This command posts the message to the specified SmartOffice business record. Example: \[postto:ABC Manufacturing\]

- \[postto:casenumber\]

This command posts the message to the specified pending case. Example: \[postto:G5428032\]

Note: Multiple commands can be included in the same e-mail message if each command is on a separate line (i.e., if you press Enter after entering each command).
