Overview

button is

available to users in offices that have office

security/-/introduction) enabled. Located at the top of every page in SmartOffice

Pro, this button lets you limit your view of data to that of specific

users or user groups for whom you proxy

(see Office

Security - User Proxies/-/user/proxies)). Examples of situations in which the See

Data For button is useful include:

-

A manager coaching a junior rep can

use the button to see exactly how the rep's book of business looks

in SmartOffice Pro.

-

An administrative assistant who works

with multiple reps can use the button to view one rep's book of business

at a time.

Note: When you use the See

Data For button, your view of other users' data is based strictly on their

user assignments/-/user/assignment).

For example, suppose you proxy for a user who has Super

User/-/super/users) privileges. If you view that user's data, you will see data for

the contacts to which the user is assigned, but you will not see other

data that the user has access to via those Super User privileges.

Selecting the Users Whose Data You Want to See

-

Click the See

Data For button to open the Available Users/User Groups dialog

box.

Note the All records option, which is

the default setting. It allows you to view all data in the office

that you normally have access to, plus the data of all users you proxy

for.

-

To limit your view to one or more users'

data, select the Data for specific users option.

SmartOffice displays a list of available users and user groups that

you can choose from (if you are a Super

User/-/super/users), all users and user groups in the office appear in the list).

-

(Optional) Use the All

users, Active users and Inactive users options to filter the list.

-

Select one or more users and/or user

groups.

Tip: If you

make multiple selections but decide you want to clear them all, you can

do so quickly by selecting the Clear

all selected items option.

-

(Optional) If you want SmartOffice

to automatically select the same users/user groups the next time you

want to view specific users' data, select the Remember

this setting option.

-

Select the OK

button. SmartOffice Pro now displays only the selected users'

data.

To change the data view at any time, select the See

again.
