SmartPolicies - User Setup

To use SmartPolicies, a user must have the Policy Tracking license enabled in User Accounts - User Rights. Other options under the SmartPolicies and Advanced Advisor Management Features sections of the User Rights content link provide more control over the features a user can access.

Users can also be set up with full permissions to add, modify and delete policy data, or they can be set up to have limited, read-only access to that information. These settings are configured on the User Accounts - Permissions content link.

In addition, a user can control which policy types he/she can view on the User Preferences - Policies/Investments content link.

Note: Other settings related to the SmartPolicies module—policy owner service (POS) requirements, stage-status relationships and agency manager setup—are configured in Policy/Case Setup.
