User Accounts - Viewing and Editing


Overview


After searching for a user account, a user with administrator rights can view or change the details, user rights, licenses, user groups and other information.

Note: Only users with the Administrator: User Rights & Creation/Licenses/Groups or Administrator: User Rights/Groups user right can view and modify user accounts. See User Accounts - User Rights Content Link.



To display user account information, tag a user account in the User List, and then click the content links across the top of the list. The content links are:


  • Detail
  • User Rights
  • Permissions
  • User Preferences
  • Leads Profile/Subscriptions
  • Proxy: Whose Data This User Can See
  • Proxy: Who Can See this User's Data
  • User Groups
  • Enterprise Office Visibility
  • Page Layouts

Mass Copying User Rights and Licenses


To quickly apply the user rights and licenses of one user account to one or more other user accounts, use the Mass Copy and Apply feature.


  1. From the User List, tag one or more accounts that user rights and licenses will be copied to.
  2. Select Menu > Mass Copy and Apply to open the Mass Copy and Apply dialog box.
  3. Click the Source User hyperlink to search for and select the source user account.
  4. Check the list of target user accounts to ensure that the correct accounts were tagged.
  5. Click the OK button.

Mass Modifying User Accounts


Certain user account fields can be modified for multiple user accounts at the same time using SmartOffice's Mass Modify feature.
