Required User Rights


  • Data Import: Enables access to SmartOffice's data import feature.

The page lists several beneficial permissions:


  • Custom Fields – Field Name Modification: Allows users to modify customizable fields for mapping additional import data
  • Drop-down Choice Customization: Enables adding custom options to the Source field and choice lists
  • Mass Deletion: Permits quick removal of multiple incorrectly imported records
  • Mass Modification: Allows updating specific fields across multiple records simultaneously
  • Mass Assignments: Enables assigning imported records to other users
  • Convert Contact Type – Button: Facilitates merging duplicate contacts of different sub-system types
  • Merge Contacts – Button: Allows consolidating duplicate contacts post-import
  • Advisors & Agencies: Required for importing agent or agency records
  • Sets: This user right must be selected, as contacts are automatically imported into sets.
