Office Settings - Tier Licenses
Note: Some U.S. enterprise customers and all non-U.S. customers will see the Licenses content link instead of the Tier Licenses content link.
The Tier Licenses content link in Office Settings displays the number of each type of tier license assigned to the office.
A "tier" is a predefined package of licenses, user rights and permissions. SmartOffice features four licensing tiers that specify the SmartOffice features that users can access. The SmartOffice administrator assigns each user account a tier license depending on the features that the user needs. Each tier contains all features found in lower tiers. For information about the user rights and licenses available in each tier, see User Accounts - User Rights. For information about the permissions available in each tier, see User Accounts - Permissions.
Tier Licenses Section
Click any hyperlink in the Tier Type column to view a list of users who currently have that tier license assigned (tier licenses are assigned to users on the User Accounts - Detail content link). Once a tier license is assigned to a user, it is unavailable to other users. Users retain their licenses until their user accounts are disabled or until the tier licenses are assigned to other users.
Licenses Section
The Licenses section displays SmartOffice module and integration licenses that are enabled for the office. The Maximum Licenses column specifies how many users in the office can be assigned a particular license, while the Licenses in Use column notes the number of users who have actually been assigned that license. Click any hyperlink in the License Type column to view a list of users who currently have that license assigned. From that user list, licenses can be removed from a user by selecting Menu > Delete 'License' record.
Enterprise customers can enable or disable specific modules and integrations for any office by signing in to the System office. When viewed from the System office, the Maximum Licenses column contains check boxes that can be selected or cleared to enable or disable a particular license for an office.
