Inforce Policy Import - Introduction

Inforce Policy Import downloads up-to-date inforce policy data from insurance carriers into SmartOffice. If a matching policy exists in SmartOffice, the policy record is updated with the imported data. If no matching policy exists, Inforce Policy Import creates the appropriate policy and any other necessary records (e.g., products) in SmartOffice.

Note: This section does not cover manual policy imports from a .csv file. For more information about importing policies manually, see SmartPolicies - Policy Import.

Policy imports occur automatically when the carrier pushes a feed that contains information relevant to the office. This can occur at any time of day. Depending on the size of the data file being imported, there may be a lag in the update.
