SmartInvestments - Working with Investment Securities
This section describes how the user can manage investment securities in SmartInvestments. When managed properly, investment security records:
- Help maintain consistency in the use of investment symbols and CUSIP numbers throughout the system, improving the ability to maintain up-to-date information such as current share prices and share balances.
- Make data entry easier and more consistent. For example, data from an investment security record is automatically entered when that security is selected during position creation.
- Help improve accuracy in statistical reporting on investment holdings for groups of clients.
