Policy Download Module Overview

DataXchange - Policies is used to preprocess and commit policy related data from existing systems to the SmartOffice database.

The Three Stages of Policy Download - The first stage in processing is performed by the customer, and loads the DXP staging tables with correctly formatted data from their legacy systems.

• The second stage is a DXP preprocessing step in which a record matching process (Record Matching Algorithm) is performed, followed by resolution of foreign key assignments. Records in error are flagged for later manual action.
• Once foreign keys are established and the record matching has been completed, the commit stage is performed. This stage either inserts or updates records in SmartOffice tables. Records in error are flagged for later manual action.

After the data is uploaded to the production tables, it is the responsibility of the user to examine the records in SmartOffice and verify that contact, vendor, product, and policy records display in the respective offices. All vendor and product records are assigned to the Home Office. In Branch Offices, the vendor and product records are highlighted. Highlighted records can only be modified by the Home Office.
