SmartCommissions - Introduction

The SmartCommissions module works in conjunction with the SmartCaseManager, SmartBenefits and SmartPolicies modules to enable agencies to perform a wide range of functions related to commission tracking in SmartOffice.

SmartCommissions projects commissions and reports on those projections, validates expected commissions versus received commissions, creates statements for the payment of parties associated with the case that are not paid by the carrier, exports data to accounting packages and provides historical reporting.

> Note: The SmartCommissions module is best suited for organizations that want to track commission payouts through multiple levels of a hierarchy (from the agency down to supervisors and advisors). To track advisor commissions only, use the simpler SmartCommissions for Advisors module.

> Tip: The acronym "CTM" that displays in some areas of SmartOffice stands for "commission tracking module." It is another way of referring to the SmartCommissions module.
