Modifying a Contact


When a contact record has incomplete or outdated information, you can modify the record to add, delete or update data.


  1. Search for and open the contact you want to modify.
  2. Perform any of the following tasks:

  • Edit basic contact details: Select the menu button base_button_menu.png in the Personal Information section, and then select Edit.
  • Add/change the contact’s photo: Select the menu button base_button_menu00001.png in the Personal Information section and select Add Photo. Alternatively, select the photo itself (or the blank photo region if there is no photo). You will see options for selecting an image from your device. If you are using a mobile device, you will also see an option to take a photo with the device’s camera.
  • Add a phone number, address or e-mail/Web address: Select the menu button base_button_menu00002.png in the Contact Information section and select Add Phone, Add E-mail/Web or Add Address. (Note that the default phone number and address types are determined by the Default Phone Type and Default Address Type settings configured on the User Preferences - Basic Info content link in SmartOffice Pro.)
  • Edit or delete an existing phone number, address or e-mail/Web address: Select the Edit button base_button_edit_field.png or the Delete button base_button_delete_field.png next to the number or address.
  • View, add or delete key relations: Select the menu button base_button_menu00003.png in the Personal Information section and select Key Relations. To add a key relation, select the Add button base_button_add.png. To delete a key relation, select its Delete button base_button_delete_field00004.png. To view a key relation’s contact record, select the rela­tion’s name.
