SmartLeads - Assigning Leads
Overview
In SmartLeads, a leads coordinator assigns leads to advisors from the Unassigned Leads List.

Assigning Leads to Advisors Manually
- Tag one or more leads in the Unassigned Leads List.
- Select Menu \> Assign to Advisor.
- Select one or more advisors from the Available Users dialog box.
Note: If multiple advisors are selected, the leads will be distributed evenly among the selected users.
- Click the OK button.
Assigning Leads Automatically using Record Matching
The leads coordinator can assign leads using SmartOffice's automatic record-matching feature. Record matching compares the selected leads with existing contacts in the SmartOffice to check for duplication. If a lead is found to exist as a contact, the lead can be assigned directly to the user linked to that contact.
- Tag one or more leads in the Unassigned Leads List.
- Select Menu \> Auto-Assign Leads Using Record Match.
Tip: The user can customize the layout of the Leads List to indicate those leads for which an existing contact has been found. A column labeled Contact Exists is available for this purpose. See List Layout Customization.
If a lead in the Leads List displays a "Yes" in the Contact Exists column, the user can view the contact. Click the lead's name and then click the Detail content link. From the Detail content link, click the Personal content link.
