SmartLeads - Revoking Leads

Overview

In SmartLeads, when the leads coordinator revokes a lead that has been assigned to a user, that lead is removed from the user's Assigned Leads List. The coordinator can then reassign the lead to another user.

Revoking a Lead

  1. On the Leads List, customize the list layout to display the Revoke On column (see List Layout Customization). This column displays the date and time that the lead will be automatically revoked.
  2. Tag one or more leads in the Leads List and then select Menu \> Revoke Leads.

Note: The Revoke Leads command is not available when the Lead Status drop-down list is set to Unassigned. Unassigned leads cannot be revoked.

  1. In the Leads Revocation dialog box, select one of these options:
  1. - Revoke: This option revokes the lead. The lead is placed back on the lead coordinator's Unassigned Leads List.
  • Revoke and Reassign: This option revokes the lead and opens the Available Users dialog box, from which the coordinator can reassign the lead to another advisor.

Note: If a lead is revoked after it has already been accepted by the assigned user, any notes entered for the lead are retained.

Setting a Lead Revocation Period

If a lead is associated with a marketing campaign, the leads coordinator can specify a period after which the lead can be revoked. This setting is called the Lead Revocation Period and is specified in the marketing campaign's Detail content link; the advisor cannot define the revocation period.

The Leads List layout can be customized to add two columns that provide information about the leads revocation period. The columns are:

  • Revoke On: The date after which the lead can be revoked.
  • Time Until Revoke: The amount of time remaining before the lead can be revoked.

Note: Only those leads associated with a campaign that specifies a lead revocation period will display information in these columns. See SmartCampaigns for more information.
